about

Originally released in 1991 on the Rhythm King Records off-shoot, The White Label, this collection of Belgian rave inspired tunes took the clubs and warehouses by the scruff of the neck and gave them a proper talking to.

DJ Bryan Gee (founder and head honcho of the eminent D&B label Planet V) and James Banbury (subsequently in The Auteurs, Infantjoy, Dadahack and presently Blood Wine or Honey) were introduced to each other by maverick A&R impresario Martin Heath (Rhythm King). James was signed to their publisher fresh out of college, and Bryan was working for Outer Rhythm.

From South London to Milton Keynes to Nuremberg and beyond - proto-breaks with heavy classical chunky riffs, smoke machines, strobes, not much else.
Made with an Akai S1100, Alesis MMT8, Roland JX3P, TG77 and some other stuff.

Carefully transferred from a rummage around the back of a drawer DAT tape by Pete Hofmann, and remastered by Anthony Ryan at Red Red Paw.
